pilot

In a day and age where anyone with a blog can be considered a corespondent on technology I seek to challenge and change those views.

For the past eight and a half years I have been working in web development for the Walt Disney Company. Seven and a half of those years at Disney Online and for the past year I have been working with Disney's ABC Television Group's business technology.

I entered the work force at the peak of the dot com bubble as a Site Integrator. I have held the titles of web content developer, application support engineer, software engineer, and programmer analyst. Despite all the title changes my focus on web development still is my primary function, though the different titles has allowed me to look at the web from different angles and has allowed me to see the web through many different point of views.

In college my primary focus was communications, and more specifically the academic wing of the discipline, Speech. This background has given me yet another perspective of technology development that extends beyond the ones and zeros, but the human interaction with technology.

The overall goal of this block is to view the changes and trends in technology and the products that reflect that change.

As in all my blogs I urge my readers to challenge that what doesn't make sense. I do feel I have more than enough qualifications to speak on the topics that I write about there is an inherent danger in taking one person's word for it. Though I aim to earn you, the reader's trust in my opinon I cannot pretend that I am always right. I am not merly open to challenges of my ideas, but I encourage them, for it is challeges that raise our knowlledge.
